About Us

Centre for Climate Justice - Bangladesh (CCJ-B) is a non-governmental, non-profitable and non-political organization; which is registered in Bangladesh under the Socities Registration Act, 1860 (Act No. XXI of 1860) since 2012. CCJ-B is involved with comprehensive research works related to environment, natural resource management and climate change with particular focus on legal, institutional and policy issues at national, regional and international levels. Thus this organization is working to promote climate justice through evidence based policy approaches towards climate change regulatory regimes. 

Our Mission

  • To develop and coordinate inter and cross-disciplinary collaborative research on legal and policy issues related to climate change for evidence-based policy advocacy. 
  • To take legal actions before judicial and non-judicial forums to promote climate justice. 
  • To promote Alternative Dispute Resolution (ADR) and collaborative leadership in the community. 
  • To assist the Government in implementing various international principles and conventional frameworks. 
  • To provide and extend expert and professional services to address environmental and ecological issues at local, regional and global levels.
